Bruce, typically a private figure, made a rare public appearance in 2019 when he attended his daughter Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim's wedding. Ariel, Bruce's daughter with Cybill Shepherd, exchanged vows with Eliza Ladensohn in Palm Desert, California, in October 2019.
Around 100 guests attended the wedding, and during the wedding reception, Bruce and Cybill gave heartwarming toasts in honor of their daughter. Their toasts were touching and humorous, reflecting the deep love and happiness they felt for Ariel and Eliza, as Bruce said:
"I never thought I was going to have children; I didn't want children. I had a life and things were fine. But God blessed me with children, and now, God blessed me with Eliza."

In 2010, one of Bruce and Cybill's twin children faced legal trouble.
However, their love story took a turn in February 1989 when Cybill filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple publicly announced their separation on January 31.

Bruce eventually found new love with actress Jenilee Harrison, although the exact timing of their wedding is unclear. In 1995, Bruce and Jenilee purchased a Tarzana home for $875,000 and embarked on a significant renovation and expansion project.
Later, they decided to sell their home for close to its asking price of $2.9 million. Subsequently, the couple made two new real estate acquisitions: a small ranch in Agoura Hills and a house in the Sherman Oaks foothills.
Fast forward to February 2022, Bruce filed for divorce from Jenilee in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Jenilee has gained fame for her roles in the "Dallas" series with Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy; as well as in the sitcom "Three's Company" alongside Suzanne Sommers, John Ritter, and Joyce DeWitt.

Bruce & Cybill's Son's Legal Challenges
In 2010, one of Bruce and Cybill's twin children faced legal trouble. Cyrus was detained at Philadelphia International Airport following allegations of theft from the carry-on luggage of two passengers.
This incident occurred during a United Airways Flight from San Francisco to Philadelphia while Cyrus, then 22 years old, was traveling back to the University of Pennsylvania as a junior Pre-Law major.
A witness reported Cyrus taking items from the passengers' luggage. Cyrus faced two counts of theft, classified as misdemeanor charges. His defense attorney, Bill Brennan, considered the charges "serious but minor."
